Special Characters in Text Fields

    When I do an export to Excel (2007) I get special characters in my results.

    If I do a CSV export and open in Excel it truncates the text field at the first special character

    To be able exporting the special characters correctly into Excel, the iconv extension need to be enabled for your PHP.

    I believe most hosting company already have this enabled.
    Please check if your host have this enabled or not.

    If not, please contact your host and ask them to enable PHP iconv extension.
    This extension is needed to correctly convert international characters.

    Please understand there are no international characters or special character being keyed into this field. Its just US English. If I view the entries in the admin interface there are no problem. This issue only happens when the file is exported to Excel or .CSV an opened with Excel 2007.

    I had submitted a bug report and have been asked to provide additional information. I have done so.

    This seems to be some bug with the export script. We've replied to your bug report and attached the bugfix. Please check it and try it.
