Problems logging in

    I recently installed the software successfully; however when I try to login to the admin panel nothing happens. More specifically,
    after entering the admin username/password the login page reappears. When I enter incorrect username/password I do get an error message. Any thoughts?

  2. At first glance I would guess you're entering the wrong credentials. This section of the config.php file has what you want if you wish to check the details on your installation:

    /** Admin user and password **/

    define('ADMIN_USER','Your User Name');

    define('ADMIN_PASSWORD','Your password');

    Not sure your issue is simply the wrong details though, seems something else is preventing it directing back to the admin once you log on.

    Yes, I think something else is going on. I double checked my information and also when I enter an incorrect username or password it catches the error. I notice that it starts to load manage_form.php, but then I am immediately redirected back to index.php

  4. Perhaps cookies are not enabled in your browser...check this first. Although with cookies I would expect some other message such as "Cookies not enabled..." or something that specifically tells you the problem. Although I suppose an error page like that would need to be built into Machform so it redirects and tells you specifically that browser cookies are the issue....

    Perhaps if you clear your browse cache (temp internet files and the like), this might clear it up.

    Secondly, check in several browsers and try to log on to the admin - e.g. IE 7, IE 8, Firefox, etc, to make sure it's not a particular browser causing the issue.

    Only guessing here with the above, perhaps Yuniar can suggest something more concrete.

    Thanks for your help; however it is still not working (I made sure that safari accepts all cookies, emptied the cache etc.). I also walked over to the bookstore and tried this on a windows machine running IE, but still the same problem...

    Does it matter *where* it is installed? I.e., under publc_html?
