Possible to style send emails?

    Hi Yuniar (and others)!

First; still the best wishes for 2011 of course!

I was wondering if the following is possible. I want to create a form with MachForm for our employees for sending out so-called welcome emails. These welcome emails will have some standard text, websites referrals and their account information. Using a form created by MachForm will make it easier to send out those emails and keep track of the welcome emails.

I guess this will be possible without much effort.

However I was wondering; is it possible to style the email which are being send after a form is completed? If yes, where and how?

I hope you understand what I mean. Hope to hear back from you soon.

  2. Yes, you can customize the email content using your own styles or HTML code. Simply go to the email settings page and customize the content section.

By default the content template contains "{entry_data}" variable only, which simply display all your form data.

You can remove this variable and put your own complete HTML code there.
Use the template variables to put the data of the form into your template.

The list of the available template variables can be seen at the bottom of that email settings page.

Well I seem to have one problem, which I cannot solve.

For some reason it uses a lot of empty space / line-breaks before it shows my table. It's approx. 180px of white space in Outlook and even more in other emailclients.

    Any idea what's going on?

I already tried using margin-top:160px, however that solution only works for Outlook clients, not in other emailclients. :(

    //update

I think it's the tables. As soon as I use a table, it moves it more downwards and creating a lot of empty space at the top. Any idea on how to remove that?

I found this after I placed an image outside the table. It put it at the top followed by the rest of the content (still in a table) below it and in between a ton of empty space lines... :9

    Hi Yuniar,

I have send you an email yesterdat, but didn't receive an answer. I am guessing the email didn't arrive, so I emailed it once more.

Can you confirm you received it? Thnx.

  10. Yuniar, I am having what appears to be the same issue, would you mind posting the solution here or emailing me the trick to getting rid of the whitespace before a table in the results email?

    Thank you,
