Hi I had a server crash which has been sorted out and am going to install the machform I had a back up of the msql database but does this mean even with this that i need to recreate the web forms and files for css ??

Unfortunately; if you did not have the data dir backed up then you will need to recreate the forms & css stuff.

Actually, if you have the database backup, you won't need to recreate the forms.
All you need to restore is the "data" folder structure, complete with the css files.Simply copy the "view.css" file from the main machform folder.
