Machform is a great product and a tremendous value for its relatively tiny cost. The support I have received has been excellent. However, it has one major "missing piece" that makes it hard to use in an organization. This missing piece is the ability to allow individual users to automatically view the data from a form in real time without having to give them access to the full Machform admin interface.
This could be added to Machform relatively simply, I believe, by adding an option for each form that would publish the data to a web page. This web page would look almost exactly like the one you see when you click on the "Entries" icon on the Machform webpage for that form, but it wouldn't have the link back to the form manager page for that form and the user would not need to log on to the Machform admin sign on page to see it. (A few more features, such as the ability to sort the data by any column, would be nice but are not essential.) For this feature to be usable, there would also have to be the option to password protect the data page for the form, so that the user would be required to log on to see the data, just as you can password protect the forms themselves in the current version of Machform.
I think this feature would be extremely popular and would increase the number of people who could use Machform as a solution for form creation for their organization many fold.
I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who had modified Machform to give it this kind of additional functionality.
