changing password to admin panel

    How do I change my username and password for access to the admin panel.
    How do I disable the password security function?

    I had previously installed Machform, and successfully used it multiple times. Suddenly today I cannot login to the admin panel. The error message says "Please enter the correct username and password".

    I verified the correct username and password by opening my local copy of config.php.

    I even tried changing the username and password in cinfig.php, uploaded it, but still I get the same error.

    I mispelled config.php in my original post. This is the file I updated.

    Hmm..that's kinda weird. What is your hosting company?

    Have you tried to download your config.php file from your server?

    If the problem persist, try to insert this code into your config.php file.

    ini_set("display_errors","1");

    see if you get any error message at the bottom of your login page.

    For the record, I needed to check my password after a system reinstall today and found it in machform/config.php
